Their day, in order

Each technician opens the app and sees their jobs, the addresses, and the time windows. Nobody else’s work, and nothing to scroll past.

  • Today first, with a map link on every address
  • Job notes and the customer’s history on the job itself
  • Checklists worked through on site
  • Photos taken and attached without leaving the app
Today, in order, with time windows.

Clock in, clock out

Technicians clock in and out per job, and the hours land on the job. That is where real margin comes from instead of a guess on Friday.

  • A running timer per job, started and stopped on the phone
  • Hours recorded against the job, not totaled at the end of the week
  • Feeds the labor variance report
One timer per job.

What each person is allowed to see

A technician’s login opens the technician view. You decide which views each person gets, and they switch between them without signing out.

  • Owner, dispatcher, and technician views, assigned per person
  • Each view has its own navigation and its own permissions
  • A technician sees the jobs assigned to them, not the company’s books
Views assigned per person.

How it goes

One technician, eight jobs, no phone calls

7:00 am

The truck

Open the app and there are eight stops in order, with time windows and the notes from last time.

8:20 am

First stop

Tap the address and the phone’s own maps app takes over. Mark arrived on the way in.

9:05 am

The work

Clock in, tick the checklist, photograph the old unit, add a note about the shutoff valve.

9:50 am

The signature

The customer signs on the screen and the job closes. Dispatch already knows before the truck moves.

Switched on, like everything else

The app itself costs nothing to install, on as many phones as you like. What costs money on this page is the login behind it: the first person on the account is free and each person after that is $39 a month.

$0

The first person

Forever, with every feature switched on. No card at signup.

$39/mo

Each person after

Month to month. Customers and subcontractors sign in free and never count.

Questions about the phone app

How do my technicians get the app?

You send them a link. They open it on their phone, tap install, and Pillar is on the home screen. It updates itself from then on.

Is it in the App Store or on Google Play?

No. It installs straight from the link, which is why there is nothing to approve and no version for anybody to chase.

What happens in a dead zone?

The day’s jobs stay readable from cached data. New changes need signal, so they sync when coverage comes back.

Can a technician see the whole company’s numbers?

Only if you give them a view that includes it. A technician view shows the jobs assigned to them and nothing else.

How much does each technician cost?

$39 a month for each person after the first. The first login is free, there is no base fee under it, and a technician’s login opens the same system the office runs.
