How to create your Pillar account
Signing up takes about a minute, asks for seven things, and never asks for a card. This guide walks the whole flow, from the signup form to your first sign-in.
Fill in the signup form

Go to app.pillarfsm.com/register. The form is two short sections: Company Details for the business, and Owner Account for your own login.
Trade Type is saved on the company and carries into setup, where Pillar offers a starter price book built for that trade. Your Pillar web address is generated from the company name, and the setup wizard has a step for changing it.
Create the account

Your password needs at least 8 characters and at least three of these four: an uppercase letter, a lowercase letter, a number, and a symbol. Press Create account once Password and Confirm Password match.
The account is $0 for the first person, with every feature switched on, and $39 a month for each additional person you add later. Nothing is charged and no card is collected at signup.
Payments taken through Pillar carry Stripe’s standard processing fees on your own Stripe account, plus 1% to Pillar. Cash and checks cost nothing.
Verify your email

Pillar emails you a verification link and holds you on a Check your inbox screen while it waits. Open the email and press Verify My Email.
The link works for 24 hours. If it does not turn up, check your spam folder, then press Resend verification email, which can send a fresh link once a minute.
Sign in and start setup

Open the link in the browser you signed up in and Pillar takes you straight into the app. From another device, go to app.pillarfsm.com/login, enter your Email address and Password, and press Sign in.
The first time an owner lands in the app, Pillar opens the setup wizard: logo, web address, business details, trade, and starter pricing. Every step can be skipped, and the Setup Wizard card in Admin starts it again whenever you want.
Common questions
Do I need a credit card to sign up?
No. The signup form never asks for card details: Pillar is $0 for the first person with every feature switched on, and $39 a month for each additional person you add later.
The verification email has not arrived.
Check your spam folder, then press Resend verification email on the Check your inbox screen, which sends a new link once a minute. Links are good for 24 hours, so an older one will not work.
Can I change my Pillar web address later?
Yes. Pillar generates one from your company name at signup, and the setup wizard has a step for changing it.
My company already uses Pillar. Should I register?
No, registering creates a second company that shares nothing with the first. Ask the owner to add you from Users in the admin menu and you will get an email invitation to the account they already have.
